2011! a new year brings new hope :D

Hello everyone! (:

Haha i'm back with the first post of the year! Hope everyone is enjoying school and all the ups and downs that come with it (ups such as friends and the company! as well as the downs like homework and tests and whatnots :( but don't fret it'll all be over in a flash).

Looking back at 2010, it has been a wonderful year for most of us, with a whole lot of events that we participated in, like the many many ad hoc events we helped out with, on top of our regular mps, children's club lessons and peer tutoring (: Not forgetting the first ever activity our batch organized, the children's outing last december!

It was a great success and the kids really enjoyed themselves alot! :D
Here're words from Mrs Ku Yoke Peng, one of the I/Cs of the children's club. "Children's Club outing a most wonderful and enjoyable experience for the children.  One child even said Day 2 was the best day of her life. I believe all the other children shared her feeling.  Heartfelt thanks to all for making it happen!"
Yup and I definitely agree with Yoke Peng as it was hard work paid off for the organizing committee and all YLEP members and volunteers who helped make this event such a success. (:

The success of our first self-initiated event is heartwarming, and it'll definitely serve as motivation for us to make our next 2 upcoming events an even greater success!


Anyway! It is once again the time of the year for YLEP to recruit new members to join our ranks. We definitely look forward to a group of enthusiastic, warm-hearted individuals joining us this year as we work towards an even greater year ahead! :D

Children's Outing-- THANKS!

Hello everyone! :D

Hope blocks went well for everyone-- well or at least we tried our bests, and everyone is enjoying the little bit of after-blocks freedom before it's time to start studying for promos :/

Anyway!

Mrs Ku Yoke Peng, the Vice Chariman of the West Coast CC Women's EXCO, also the person in charge of the children's outing on 16th June, would like to thank all those who went down to help out with the outing.

Below is an excerpt from her email:

"Please extend our thanks to your schoolmates - Debby Lee, Pang Yuh Chyi, Loh Ai Leng, Oh Bo Shun and Elliot for helping out during the above excursion.

The children and parents had such a jolly good time that even the thunderstorm that morning couldn't dampen their spirit.  Thanks for bringing cheers to the children and giving them happy memories of an otherwise mundane June 2010 school holiday.

Look forward to working with you again on future projects."

Update!

Hey YLEP!

boshun here with the 1st update since... ok nvm.

In future, lets use this blog as a platform to post pictures/videos of our activities. Lets show everyone what we do as a CCA. Lets use this blog to tell everyone what YLEP is about!

Yepyep, this means that in the future, do bring along your camera for the various adhoc events that you would be attending and email us your photos!

For those who attended the children's club outing today, good job to you guys ya? The kids had fun and we did our part to serve and contribute. Its a pity I didnt bring my camera though :(
